The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), the official sales and marketing organization promoting Miami and The Beaches as a premier tourism destination, named VML the new global marketing agency of record. VML won the business as a result of an extensive agency review process resulting in a four-year contract with an additional one-year option. The partnership complements the GMCVB’s global marketing network in fifty-two offices worldwide.
“Miami is attracting attention from leading global hotel brands, air service carriers and cruise lines; building more hotels and adding to the destination’s room supply as well as expanding airline and cruise offerings,” said Rolando Aedo, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of the GMCVB. “These new offerings present a unique opportunity and we are looking to VML to help us create the strategy that will increase demand.”
VML, which has 28 offices across six continents, will apply its global perspective and understanding of international consumers on its work for Miami and the Beaches. The engagement will be led by key leadership and personnel in Miami and New York.
“Miami and the Beaches is a beautiful, diverse and dynamic destination that is truly unique from any other place in the world, “said Chris Furse, executive director for VML. “VML is honored to have been selected as AOR and we look forward to using our global marketing expertise to create the next evolution of Miami’s marketing.”
