Thompson & Co. PR Adds Megan O’Malley in Houston, Promotes Shannon Sadler in Anchorage

Shortly after the one-year anniversary of its Houston office, Thompson & Co. Public Relations added Account Coordinator Megan O’Malley to its Texas team. O’Malley joins Vice President Liz Baker at T&C Houston. At T&C’s headquarters in Anchorage, Alaska, Shannon Sadler was promoted to account executive.

O’Malley grew up in Galveston, Texas, before attending the University of Alabama, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications, with a major in public relations and a minor in event planning that required two special event internships. After graduation, she followed her passion of event planning and writing back to Texas where she began working for an oil and gas trade association in Houston before joining T&C.

Sadler has worked in T&C’s Anchorage office since 2014, beginning as an account coordinator after graduating with an MBA from Chaminade University of Honolulu. Sadler excels at identifying and building community partnerships for clients, understanding media trends and angles and executing dynamic special events. In her new role, she will focus on community issues including housing, health care and addictions. Clients will benefit from Sadler’s ability to advocate for social programs and deliver messaging that builds community support.

“Our agency is excited to expand its team as we continue to grow our business in Houston, New York City and across the Lower 48. Promoting and adding employees like Shannon and Megan who are not only skilled PR practitioners but who are also knowledgeable about the communities and industries we serve, T&C will be able to provide even better service for our clients nationwide,” said Jennifer Thompson, president and CEO of T&C.

In addition to expanding its Houston staff, T&C is immersing itself in the Houston community as members of the Greater Houston Convention Visitors Bureau, the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce and the Public Relations Society of America Houston Chapter.

T&C is a leading independent public relations firm in Alaska. Headquartered in Anchorage with an office in New York City and Houston, the agency serves clients in a wide range of industries from travel and tourism to the arts and sciences.
