Headquartered in Delray Beach, The Buzz Agency will now expand its physical presence with a second location at 101 Bradley Place on Palm Beach Island. The firm, founded in 2009 by partners Julie Mullen and Elizabeth Kelley Grace, has been named one of the fastest growing public relations agencies in South Florida, and is currently ranked 20th on the South Florida Business Journal list of largest PR firms in the region.
“This is such an exciting time for our firm,” said Mullen. “We knew we wanted to grow, but doing so organically takes a great deal of time. The opportunity to acquire an existing firm with high profile clients and a stellar reputation was clearly the ideal way to efficiently and quickly expand our business.”
Tradewinds Media Partners’ owner, Lilly Leas, will remain on counsel with The Buzz Agency during the transition. Tradewinds clients that The Buzz Agency will absorb include: Palm Healthcare Foundation, YMCA of the Palm Beaches, Hospice Foundation of Palm Beach County, Craft Bar Kitchen, 3 Natives, Strong Boalt, and McMow Art Glass, among others.
Along with working as a consultant with The Buzz Agency, Leas has accepted a full scholarship to attend University of Florida’s Hough Graduate School of Business to pursue her master’s degree in business administration. “I am very proud of what was accomplished with Tradewinds in just two years, and I’m excited for this next step in my professional career. The relationships I developed with my clients are incredibly important to me and I wholeheartedly trust The Buzz Agency to deliver the highest level of service to them,” said Leas.
To manage the new Palm Beach location, The Buzz Agency has hired PR veteran Enid Atwater, who joins the firm as vice president of public relations. Atwater brings more than 25 years of experience to her position, including serving for 10 years as the vice president of corporate communications for the Palm Beach County Convention & Visitors Bureau (since rebranded Discover The Palm Beaches).
“Enid brings with her a wealth of PR experience that falls perfectly in line with our goals to increase our presence in the hospitality and tourism industries,” said Kelley Grace. “We are thrilled to have her on board.”
