Winners of the 2014 Bulldog Awards for Excellence in Media and Publicity Campaigns Have Been Announced

(Oakland, CA)  The 98 winners of the 2014 Bulldog Awards for Excellence in Media and Publicity Campaigns were announced today by Bulldog Reporter. These winners enter a pantheon of exemplary communications practitioners, and their campaigns will be summarized in the Bulldog Media Relations Awards Hall of Fame magazine, which is to be published on April 30, 2014.

Winners were chosen exclusively by working journalists from hundreds of entries representing the very best strategic and tactical prowess that PR/corporate communications has to offer.  Campaigns were judged by a team of working journalists, who assessed them on the basis of their ability to achieve extraordinary visibility and influence opinion, as well as on their creativity, command of media and technology, and tenacity. 

This year’s Grand Prize was awarded to Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems for their “Protecting America with Raytheon’s blimp-borne radar” campaign. The judges awarded this campaign three Gold Awards—for Best General Business Campaign, Best Issue/Cause Advocacy Campaign and Best Use of the Internet/Digital Tools Business. “This campaign won three Gold Bulldog Media Relations Awards—an accomplishment rarely achieved in this highly competitive awards program.  But ultimately it was no surprise given Raytheon’s campaign, which demonstrated both extraordinary PR discipline and creativity. The blimp campaign was methodically researched, backed by imaginative story development, and implemented masterfully in the media,” observed Bulldog Reporter publisher James Sinkinson.
