Ogilvy was recognized with top accolades at the recent Effie Awards, which recognize the most effective marketing communications cases and agencies in the United States and Canada, as the firm was named the most effective agency network.
This is the sixth consecutive year Ogilvy has received top honors on behalf of all creative agencies. The Ogilvy New York office was also recognized as the second most effective individual office in North America and WPP was recognized as the second most effective holding company.
In total, the Ogilvy network won 15 awards across categories including three Gold, three Silver and nine Bronze Effies for noteworthy work on behalf of clients such as IBM and Philips.
“We are thrilled to be named Network of the Year for the sixth year in a row,” said Lou Aversano, Ogilvy USA CEO. “Producing great work to drive the business of our clients is why we come to work. I could not be prouder of our teams and thank you to our amazing clients for their partnership.”
IBM was awarded with a record breaking total of nine Effies for work with the agency and was named the most effective brand. It was also recognized as the third most effective marketer in North America.
The Effie awards, which recognize the most effective marketing communications cases and agencies in the United States and Canada, are based on the analysis of the North America Effie Awards finalist and winner data from the past year.
