Nancy J. Friedman Public Relations Hires Walters, Coder, Hansen and Matsuo

Nancy J. Friedman Public Relations (www.njfpr.com), a boutique, hospitality, travel and lifestyle public relations firm, has hired Chris Walters as Associate Director. The firm, which marks its 25th anniversary this year, also hired three other professionals as part of its growth strategy for 2013.

Walters oversees accounts across the entire agency and contributes to drive new business initiatives into the New Year. Walters was previously Public Relations Director at the Essex House on Central Park South.

Maria Coder, a career journalist, most recently Public Relations Manager with FreshDirect, has joined NJFPR as Media Relations Specialist. Coder is tasked with finding unique story angles, media outreach, and revitalizing the agency's social media landscape.

Bryan Hansen, previously with Rubenstein Communications, joins the agency as an Account Executive. Hansen will be responsible for pitching stories to the media, executing special events, and other key aspects of client and media relations.

Alma Sheppard Matsuo will be the firm's new in-house graphic designer, creating media materials and polishing up presentations. She most recently worked as an independent contractor.
