Machowsky Joins Widmeyer's DC Office as Senior Vice President

Marty Machowsky is taking his PR training and skills to the Washington, DC office of Widmeyer Communications (www.widmeyer.com). Machowsky will provide strategic counsel to healthcare and technology clients as senior vice president in the firm’s public affairs practice.

Prior to joining Widmeyer, Machowsky held positions at McGuireWoods Consulting, Edelman and Issue Dynamics. He served as Legislative Director to Rep. Rick Boucher (VA) and Chief of Staff to Audrey Moore, former chair of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. Marty was also Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant to former representatives John LaFalce (NY) and Andy Maguire (NJ).

"Marty brings great experience to Widmeyer’s public affairs team, in both federal and local-level politics, as well as management of a wide array of public affairs campaigns, especially in the health and wellness and technology fields," said Scott Widmeyer, Chairman and CEO. "We are excited to add another talented individual to the Widmeyer team whose experience and skills will go a long way in advancing clients’ advocacy and public affairs agendas."

"I could not be happier in joining Widmeyer at this important period when the U.S. is moving forward in the science of health care and tapping new technologies to impact quality of life and have a positive impact on our economy," Machowsky said.
