Johnathon Briggs Named Senior Vice President, Digital at Public Communications Inc.

Public Communications Inc. (PCI) announced that Johnathon Briggs has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Digital.

Since joining PCI in 2013, Briggs has been instrumental in the success of award-winning client programs, including a digital marketing campaign for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and a social media advocacy drive for the Illinois Alliance to Prevent Obesity. In his new role, Briggs will serve as leader in developing, managing and marketing the agency’s digital offerings (content strategy and creation, social media, email, website, online advertising, analytics) with a focus on client satisfaction.

From health awareness campaigns to corporate communications, Briggs also continues to lead programs for clients in the healthcare, public health, and nonprofit sectors.

“Johnathon’s new role expands our concentration on digital strategies, capabilities and services that are increasingly important to meeting the needs of clients seeking integrated communications counsel and services,” said CEO Jill Allread, APR. “This role combines his skills and deep passion for healthcare and all things digital.”

Before joining PCI, Briggs served as the chief officer of external relations for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, one of the nation’s leading AIDS service organizations.

Briggs is certified in Digital Marketing Foundations, and as a practitioner of content and mobile marketing by Market Motive, an industry leader in digital marketing training. He also draws on his 11-year career as a journalist for The Baltimore Sun, Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune, as he conducts media training workshops for clients.
