Hotwire Public Relations Adds 3Doodler to Client Roster

Hotwire Public Relations Group, a global integrated communications consultancy, is now the communications agency of record in the U.S. and the U.K. for 3Doodler, makers of the original and most advanced 3D printing pens in the world.

3Doodler, which is owned by WobbleWorks Inc., and helmed by CEO Maxwell Bogue and President Daniel Cowen, has offices in New York and Hong Kong. After rising to fame delivering one of Kickstarter’s most successful launches – raising $3.9 million through two campaigns. The company leveraged retail partnerships that have landed the 3Doodler online and in brick-and-mortar stores in 60 countries including Amazon, Target, Best Buy and Bed Bath & Beyond. 3Doodler also forged strategic licensing deals with the likes of Star Trek and Cartoon Network’s Powerpuff Girls to continue its rapid growth, surpassing $20 million in revenue in 2016.

“We were looking for a firm that would share in our quirky ambition, our passion for our product, and that had the experience and global chops to support 3Doodler’s super-human growth. Hotwire PR is that partner for us,” said Bogue, who invented the pen with 3Doodler’s now Inventor-In-Chief Peter Dilworth.

Hotwire won the ability to represent 3Doodler under the leadership of its global team that includes Laura Macdonald, head of consumer for Hotwire North America and Emma Hazan, managing director, consumer based in Hotwire’s London office. Like 3Doodler, the majority of Hotwire’s clients take advantage of Hotwire’s global footprint, which includes 22 global offices including those in Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Australia.

“The 3Doodler team has all the qualities of a client we love to work with: They love what they do, they have amazing stories to tell and they have a vision for a disruptive future that we feel confident we can help them achieve,” said Macdonald. “As soon as we met them, we knew we had to represent 3Doodler.”
