Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth recently announced the promotion of Shay Dial Johnson to vice president of community engagement, and the new hire of Liz Confiliano as director of public relations.
As vice president of community engagement, Johnson will be responsible for leading marketing, public affairs, media and community engagement and special fundraising activities for the nonprofit. She has been an integral part of the Goodwill team since 2006 serving as regional retail director, and most recently as director of marketing and administration.
“Shay is a proven leader for Goodwill,” said David Cox, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth. “Her ability to build both internal and external partnerships and marketing expertise make her the perfect candidate to oversee the promotion of Goodwill’s mission.”
As director of public relations, Confiliano will manage the media engagement efforts for the nonprofit. Over her career Confiliano has worked in various public relations, advertising and marketing capacities for local advertising agencies, including J.O., where she managed the Goodwill Fort Worth account. She most recently served as community outreach coordinator for Moncrief Cancer Institute. Active in the community, she serves as immediate past president of the Greater Fort Worth Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
“We are glad to have Liz on our internal team,” said Cox. “Her proven results in public relations and media engagement, as well as her passion for the Goodwill mission make her an excellent addition.”
