DKC Public Relations Completes 15th Consecutive US Open

For 15 consecutive years, the DKC Sports department has handled all public relations, entertainment and community engagement for the USTA/US Open and all events associated with the US Open. Some of the events associated with the Open include Ball Person Tryouts, Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day, food tasting press and press previews, opening night entertainment, lifestyle suite coordinating with lifestyle media, roof unveiling, and Anthem singer tryouts.

This year, DKC handled all publicity for the ceremonial first closing and opening of the new retractable roof of Arthur Ashe Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. In addition, DKC held the tryouts for over 400 prospective ballpersons in anticipation of the US Open.

Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day is the opening concert event that takes place at the Tennis Center, kicking off the US Open. DKC works with the musical acts as well as all tennis, lifestyle, and local media to interview the artists for exclusive access.

The DKC Sports department was the recipient of the Cynopsis Sports Media Awards earlier in the year for its outstanding work they do for their clients, namely the USTA/US Open, one of the longest standing DKC clients.
