Chase Communications (www.chasepr.com), a public relations and marketing communications firm co-headquartered in San Francisco and Washington, D.C, announced the hiring of former San Francisco Business Times events director Felicia Brown, D.C. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton’s former communications director Jonathan Amar, and communications professional Jill Mierke.
Brown, based in San Francisco, is the firm’s new vice president; Amar, who joined the firm’s D.C. office, serves as account manager and public affairs specialist; and Mierke is account coordinator in the San Francisco office.
“Felicia Brown, Jon Amar and Jill Mierke each bring a wealth of talent to the firm in very divergent areas and, as such, they are significant assets,” said Julie Chase, president and CEO of Chase Communications. “Felicia has cultivated deep relationships with both top executives and layers of industry professionals across California, while Jon comes to Chase having honed media and social marketing skills, strategy and solid relationships from the political world of Capitol Hill. Working together on multiple accounts with east and west vantage points is a rare team opportunity.”
As vice president of Chase Communications, Brown manages the firm’s San Francisco operations, high-profile media events and advises on client strategy.
Amar manages several Chase accounts in both D.C. and San Francisco, accessing media relations and connections to key District of Columbia government officials. He creates public relations strategies and is an expert in outside-the-box online communications, social media and digital marketing.
As account coordinator, Mierke supports the implementation of both traditional media and social media campaigns, drafts online and print content and provides administration support to the Chase team. Jill previously worked for the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust as communications assistant.
