Brand-Marketing Champions: Brand Innovators Announce 2013 “40 Under 40” Winners—Second Annual Awards Honor Innovation in Brand Marketing

Brand Innovators, a peer-to-peer community of more than 2,000 brand marketers, announced the winners of the second annual 40 Under 40 Class of 2013, honoring the 40 most innovative and influential brand marketers under the age of 40 in North America. The winners were honored at last week’s Brand Innovators "40 Under 40" Celebration in New York, coinciding with Internet Week. The winners were selected by Brand Innovators based on their industry accomplishments and excellence in driving digital marketing and innovation at Fortune 500 companies and other leading brands.

"This year’s ’40 under 40′ are driving innovation in brand marketing by leveraging digital media and mobile to transform the way their brands interact with their consumers," said Marc Sternberg, co-founder of Brand Innovators, in a news release. "We’re honored to recognize these individuals for their contributions to the marketing industry."

During the awards ceremony a panel discussion spotlighting members of the Class of 2012 took place on "The art and science behind being a brand leader." The panel was moderated by Rum Ekhtiar, executive vice president of Ruder Finn, and featured:

  • Bonin Bough, vice president of global media and consumer engagement, Mondelēz International
  • Nicole Fraley, director of digital advertising & email strategy, Office Depot
  • Marc Fonzetti, director of media strategy & investment, Verizon Wireless
