By 2017, the platform is on track of have more than 40 million users and was recently identified as one of only 18 European companies with unicorn potential as part of this year’s Startup Europe Comes to Silicon Valley program.
PHA Media’s Technology and Innovation team will focus on building the profile of the brand both from a b2b and b2c perspective, as well as the profiles of co-founders Javier Camara and Juan Imaz.
Nick Braund, Head of Technology & Innovation at PHA Media, said: “beBee has experienced exponential growth since launch, fast becoming a social media favourite in their native Spain and quickly gaining traction in the States. We’re thrilled to be playing a part in their further expansion and working with them at this exciting time.”
Camara said: “On traditional social networking sites, despite what the term might suggest, it’s actually very difficult to connect with people beyond your existing circles. But with beBee, you connect with others through your interests, which helps expand your reach. We’re delighted that PHA Media are helping us to introduce this concept to wider audiences and create more connections globally.”
