Q: WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Open to all PR and communications professionals.

Q: HOW DO I APPLY?
You may submit an entry by creating an account and following the instructions. Be sure to remember your username and password and to save the link to your favorites as you may need to refer to it often during the submission period. Once you have gone through the process, please ignore the note that states you will not be able to go back in and edit your entry. We will ensure to allow any edits until submission deadline.

Q: WHAT GOES INTO THE CAMPAIGN EXPLANATION?
Strategy: What was the creative and analytical thinking that went into this particular campaign? What led you to select the angle and the media you chose? What difficulties or budget limitations did you have to overcome?
Pitch/implementation: Elucidate the media relations aspect of the PR campaign. How did you approach the media and facilitate media coverage? How did you position the story? What kind of groundwork was necessary before the journalist(s) bought in? If discussing a website or online pressroom, focus on your originality and proven effectiveness.
Summary of results: Please include a brief summary of media placements, but more importantly, evidence of the effects of the campaign. For instance, “sales have increased 10%” or “web traffic increased by two million visits per month” or “public opinion was changed from 10% approval to 25% approval.”

Q: DO I NEED TO INCLUDE ANY BUDGET INFORMATION?
Yes, please include the budget as our judges need to be able to compare “apples to apples.” If it’s really a huge problem, you can specify a budget range (for instance, “under $10,000” or “$45-50,000”). A range of “$100,000 to $1,000,000” is too broad and will not be accepted. If this information is confidential, please indicate this on your summary and we will ensure this information is not published.

Q: IS THERE A STANDARD FORMAT FOR SUBMISSION?
Online entry is a snap. All that is required is a 3-4 page summary of your achievements uploaded to the submission form along with any accompanying documents such as photo or video files. The summary must describe the client objectives, any research conducted, the strategy and execution and actual results. The summary will be the most critical element of the nomination and may be supported by selected examples of materials produced and evidence of results.

Q: CAN I VIEW SOME PAST SUBMISSIONS TO GET AN IDEA OF WHAT TO SUBMIT?
Yes, you can check out some of our Winning PR submissions here.

Q: SHOULD I UPLOAD A PHOTO/VIDEO WITH MY ENTRY?
Yes. You may upload photos or videos to your submission in addition to the summary document.

Q: WILL I RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION ONCE I HAVE SUBMITTED MY ENTRY?
Yes! Once you have gone through the process, please ignore the note that states you will not be able to go back in and edit your entry. We will ensure to allow any edits until submission deadline.

Q: CAN I EDIT AN ENTRY ONCE IT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED?
You will be able to access your entry at any time before the deadline to make changes. Once the deadline has passed you will no longer have access.

Q: MAY WE ENTER ONE CAMPAIGN INTO MULTIPLE CATEGORIES?
Yes you can absolutely enter into more than one category. In fact, we encourage you to do so! One award category is $395 with each additional category for the same campaign, person or organization, costing $195 as long as you enter on or before the early bird deadline (midnight EST). After that deadline (midnight EST), the initial submission rate increases to $475.

Q: MAY WE ENTER CAMPAIGNS WE ARE NOT AT LIBERTY TO DISCUSS EXTERNALLY?
Yes. Please be sure to include the word ‘CONFIDENTIAL” in the title of your entry so that we do not reference the campaign in future materials.

Q: SHOULD TEAMS INCLUDE SUPPORTING MATERIALS?
Absolutely! Anything that will help the judges better understand the program in order to determine a winner is highly encouraged.

Q: WHERE DO I SEND SUPPORTING MATERIALS?
Please upload all supporting materials including photos, video link along with the summary document.

Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SUBMIT?
One award category is $395 with each additional category for the same campaign, person or organization, costing $195. After the early bird deadline (midnight EST), the price increases to $475 for the initial submission.

Q: WHAT IS THE PRIZE?
Each award winner will receive a beautifully framed certificate, inclusion in a press release detailing the award, inclusion in the Daily ‘Dog the industry’s best read trade journal, detailing the award plus any other communications initiatives. Grand Prize winners will receive the coveted crystal bulldog with your winning campaign details etched onto the base.
