Lorraine Abelow, founder of the boutique travel PR agency that bears its name, Abelow PR, has been named to the editorial board of Hotel Business Review, and its online content provider, HotelExecutive.com. The site is a premier one catering to the hotel industry, in which Lorraine has been practicing for over three decades. It has 65,000 subscribers and one million page views per month.
Her monthly column will cover a range of topics of interest to those managing and operating hotels and resorts. Recent articles have included “Ways to Attract Destination Weddings to Your Property,” and “How Hotels Can Attract Guests Considering Retirement in Latin America.” Abelow will be contributing articles monthly.
In another development, Prohotel International, a Houston-based hotel management and marketing company has retained Abelow PR’s services again this year for the fourth year running. Under this contract, the agency promotes three luxury properties to US and Canada, including Sublime Samana and Casas XIV both in the Dominican Republic, and Pico Bonito, an eco-lodge in the rainforest of Honduras.
