Valencia Joins Porter Novelli as SVP, Multicultural Communications

Porter Novelli (www.porternovelli.com) announced that Diana Valencia has joined the company as senior vice president, multicultural communications. In leading this practice, Valencia will oversee client programming designed to reach all demographic segments under the multicultural umbrella.

"Diana's career-long focus on multicultural markets, coupled with her extensive experience in mobile and digital, will be of tremendous value for clients as they create and nurture relationships with these extremely brand-loyal audiences," said Darlàn Monterisi, executive vice president, managing director of Porter Novelli's New York office, to whom Valencia will report. "Diana brings to Porter Novelli impressive expertise, a strong track record of driving growth and a collaborative work style. We are excited about where she will take our multicultural practice in the future."

Valencia spent nearly five years with Univision Interactive Media in New York, most recently as senior director, mobile sales development, leading strategic operations for the discipline. Before that she was director, mobile content & services for Univision and, prior to that, spent just over three years with Verizon Wireless, as multicultural marketing/segmentation manager.

"I am absolutely delighted to join Porter Novelli, a company whose commitment to and deep understanding of the multicultural market is truly inspiring," said Valencia. "I'm excited to work with a team of award-winning professionals with a palpable passion for driving business success greater than their clients expect."
