The Financial Times promotes deputy editor Martin Dickson (martin.dickson@ft.com) to U.S. managing editor, effective Sept. 1. He replaces Gillian Tett (gillian.tett@ft.com), who will be on book leave until early 2013.

Kiplinger's Personal Finance hires Bloomberg News reporter Elizabeth Ody (eody@kiplinger.com) as contributing editor covering investing.
