Porter Novelli Public Services Adds Nowicka to Team
Porter Novelli (www.porternovelli.com) Public Services announced that digital and social strategist expert Helen Nowicka has been named executive vice president, digital, and will lead the Washington, D.C. digital and social media practice. Nowicka joins the agency's Washington, D.C. office from Porter Novelli in London, where she led the UK digital team and provided social media strategy across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
As the head of Porter Novelli Public Services' digital media practice, Nowicka is charged with furthering the firm's digital strategy and social media thought leadership as well as expanding the firm's digital client engagements.
"Helen is a globally recognized digital leader, whose experience across disciplines is a testament to her sophisticated strategic thinking and deep understanding of all things digital," said Catherine "Kiki" McLean, senior partner, managing director of Porter Novelli Public Services and global director of public affairs. "Helen's expertise will ensure that we use every appropriate channel to help clients build relationships with their stakeholders that motivate action and leave their organization greater than when we found it."

Nowicka has contributed to Share This: The Social Media Handbook for PR Professionals, a recently published primer on social media, and is a regular speaker at industry conferences.
