M&C Saatchi PR Named First-Ever Agency for United States Olympic Committee
M&C Saatchi PR (www.mcsaatchi.com) has been named the first-ever agency of record for the United States Olympic Committee.
The team, led by Sandra Carreon-John, SVP, will manage several major events leading up to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi including the 2014 media summit and the 100 days out celebration. M&C Saatchi PR will lead a campaign that highlights the organization's vast fundraising efforts. It will focus on increasing awareness and understanding of the importance of funding to a successful Team USA, which receives no money from the federal government.
Carreon-John has been at the helm of M&C Saatchi PR New York for the past five years. Previously she held senior communications positions with the NHL, ESPN and Madison Square Garden's sports teams and entertainment properties. She has worked on two Olympic Winter Games while at the NHL, and has worked with several Olympians while at M&C Saatchi PR.
