InterContinental Hotels Group's Sanfilippo Huston Wins PRSA|GA's Chapter Champion Award

Caroline Sanfilippo Huston was given the Chapter Champion Award from the Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (www.prsageorgia.org), in recognition of her outstanding volunteer work for the chapter.

Huston is Public Relations Manager for InterContinental Hotels Group's (IHG) upscale brands, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts and Hotel Indigo. She joined IHG in 2003 and has held several roles of increased responsibility, most recently moving into her current role in June 2012.

"I decided to become involved with the Georgia Chapter to learn from my peers in the Atlanta PR industry. I joined the chapter in 2004 and have found the seminars, monthly luncheons and SIGs invaluable as I've worked to grow my knowledge of the consumer PR industry, both within and outside of the travel and tourism segment. I'm a firm believer that there's always something to learn and PRSA|GA has offered me many opportunities," said Huston.

A PRSA member since 2004, she has served as co-chair for the Travel and Tourism Special Interest Group (SIG) from 2006 to 2011. Currently, she is a member of the Professional Development Committee, assisting with coordination of some of the pre-luncheon seminars and is also participating on this year's Phoenix Awards Committee.
