Glover Park Group Adds Grohé and Jacobs As VPs In Its New York Office
The Glover Park Group (GPG; www.gloverparkgroup.com), a strategic communications and government relations firm, announced that Sanuber Bilguvar Grohé and Elie Jacobs have joined the firm's New York office as Vice Presidents in the Strategic Communications practice.
"The addition of Sanuber and Elie to GPG underscores our focus on the continued growth of our New York presence, as well as our emphasis on the expansion of the overall capabilities of our firm," said Jason Miner, Managing Director and head of GPG's Strategic Communications practice. "Both Sanuber and Elie bring deep cross-industry and cross-functional experience to GPG, and their combined range of knowledge strengthens GPG's corporate and financial communications offerings."
Lisa Wolford, Managing Director in the New York office, added, "Our new hires reflect the client demand for communications professionals with not only deep corporate experience, but also a strong understanding of the public policy landscape and how that impacts business and communications strategy. As we focus on growing our corporate capabilities in New York, Sanuber and Elie's understanding of the interplay between the two will be of tremendous value to our clients."
Grohé joins GPG from Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, where she was a Global Public Relations Manager, leading the development and implementation of strategic, integrated communications programs for global initiatives and key business areas, such as financial advisory and sustainability services. Prior to Deloitte, Grohé was a Vice President in MWW Group's Corporate Practice, where she managed a number of corporate communications and executive eminence programs.
Jacobs most recently was a Vice President at Sloane & Company, where he worked with several coalitions on public affairs issues – particularly in the energy industry, the Global Business Travel Association and thought leadership programs for American Express. Before joining Sloane & Company, Jacobs was a Director in the Media Relations Practice Group at Public Strategies, Inc., working on media and public affairs campaigns for international, financial and crisis clients. Previously, Jacobs worked at Brunswick Group, LLC in New York, where he worked on communications and public affairs campaigns for mergers and acquisitions and other complex situations, and at MacMillan Communications, where he developed public relations programs for professional services firms.
