Dukas Public Relations Promotes Hesney to VP

Dukas Public Relations (DPR; www.dukaspr.com) announced that Doug Hesney has been promoted to vice president and appointed to the firm's executive management committee. Mr. Hesney will continue to manage DPR's asset management group, one of the firm's fastest growing practice areas, while also serving as in-house counsel.

Mr. Hesney began his career as a senior account executive with DPR in 2007. He has played an integral role in growing DPR's asset management practice by approximately 50 percent since taking over day-to-day management responsibility of the group in 2010.

DPR's Asset Management Group represents large and emerging hedge funds and private equity firms; service providers to the alternative investment industry; mutual funds and ETFs. Mr. Hesney has also been at the forefront of integrating digital and social media into programs for asset managers, a group that is generally cautious about adopting these new mediums.

"Doug brings a very strategic and meticulous approach to working with a demanding group of clients, whose reputations in the marketplace are an integral part of their business success," said Richard Dukas, President and CEO of DPR. "With implementation of the JOBS Act quickly approaching, we expect to see hedge fund managers and other alternative investment firms begin seeking PR counsel as they become larger, more institutional organizations."
