Cooksey SVP Walton Named to Leadership Fort Worth Board

Leadership Fort Worth, a community leadership development program, has appointed Cooksey Communications (www.cookseypr.com) Senior Vice President Colby Walton to its board of directors for a one-year term.

Walton recently graduated from the organization's 2011-12 Leadership Class, and he is one of only two class members to have been elected by their classmates to the Leadership Fort Worth board. Comerica Bank Senior Vice President/Group Manager Matthew Marchbanks was also elected from the 2011-12 class to the board.

At Cooksey Communications, Walton specializes in developing and executing critical business development and awareness-building campaigns for professional services firms. He also works closely with North Texas municipalities, chambers of commerce, advocacy groups and regional planners on communications strategies for vital public stakeholder issues such as economic development, transportation and mobility, and long-range water supply planning.

Walton is a past president and past board member of the Duke University Alumni Club of North Texas and currently serves on the Duke Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee for North Texas.
