Atlanta-based communications 21 (c21; www.c21pr.com), a full-service marketing, public relations and interactive firm, announced the hires of Amy Patterson and Diana Trujillo as members of the Atlanta Local Organizing Committee (ALOC) to help with the planning and execution of the 2013 NCAA Men's Final Four.
As director of operations, Patterson will manage event operations for the ALOC, which will include overseeing the hotel, transportation, government relations, décor and sustainability committees, as well as providing support to the volunteer and VIP/Ambassador programs. Patterson worked at the Chick-fil-A Bowl for five years as the events manager and has volunteered for the Super Bowl, World Series, MLB All-Star Game, NHL All-Star Game and NBA All-Star Game.
Trujillo will serve as the special projects coordinator, and support the executive director and director of operations throughout the planning and execution process, including meeting management and website maintenance leading up to and during the event. Prior to working at communications 21 and the ALOC, Trujillo was the marketing manager for the Chick-fil-A Bowl, which also included the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game and Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge. While there, she was responsible for sponsor relations and contract implementation, event marketing, advertising campaigns, promotions and sales.
"We are excited to welcome Amy and Diana to the c21 team," said Sharon Goldmacher, president, c21 and executive director, ALOC. "Their experience with national sporting events will be vital to the successful planning and execution of the 2013 NCAA Men's Final Four in Atlanta."
